I must have been three years old, when I was sitting at the window of my grandparents‘ living room and stared into the courtyard. I had sat down on the back of the sofa so that I could look out, the curtain at my back. I don‘t remember the car I had been waiting for so long, only the superlatives in my father’s remarks. Years later, that very model, at least that’s what I think it must have been, was standing in the hall in front of my studio, so that it made sense to finally take an image.
